On International Mother Language Day, we celebrate the rich linguistic and cultural diversity that defines our Union, as well as the importance of protecting and promoting mother tongues across Europe.@kinkkong @EUCommission Estoy de acuerdo el español es enorme, cuando viajé a Hungría el año pasado, en el aeropuerto la persona de la casa de cambio y 3 camareros de 3 restaurantes diferentes me hablaron en español (Húngaros) y algo parecido me pasó en París... Aún así hay mucha más gente que habla inglés como segundo idioma

Bueno si pudieras pararte ahora mismo en medio de una calle en Berlin, Praga, Helsiski o cualquier capital europea y le preguntas a la gente que pase que otro idioma hablan a parte de su idioma nativo, habrá muchos más que hablen inglés. El español es grande, si, pero no tan grande como para considerarse una lingua franca.
