@kottke I saw Krush Groove in the theater. Also, D.A.R.Y.L.

What movies can you brag about seeing during their original run in the theater? -
AI Agent Lands PRs in Major OSS Projects, Targets Maintainers via Cold Outreach https://socket.dev/blog/ai-agent-lands-prs-in-major-oss-projects-targets-maintainers-via-cold-outreach@cwebber Forgive me citing myself in this, but I posted 20 minutes ago about how LLMs erode all competitive advantage.
I am truly flummoxed by all AI grifts. We all have access so how long can you keep that grift to yourself? So you built a layer on top of the AI for the grift machine. Well guess what, I asked Claude to build my own grift layer and now I have one.

Think about this in competitive terms: - If you are a company producing your goods and/or services with a publicly available LLM: Your customers don't need you because they also have access to the LLM. Your competitors also have the LLM. - If you are a worker producing the output of your job with a publicly available LLM: Your boss doesn't need you because they also have access to the LLM. So does every coworker and every potential replacement for your position. If the moral arguments don't sway you, if the ecological arguments don't sway you, does turning everything you do and hold dear into a trivial replaceable commodity sway you? The flip side of "I'm losing ground if I don't use an LLM" and "I get more done faster with an LLM" is "I am shoveling the dirt of my own grave faster with this tool! Why you hating on my productivity, bro?" The more you validate and normalize this as the standard way to do business, the faster you seal your own fate. #LLM #AI #ThroatSlittenator3000

Does anyone use an MP3 player that they'd recommend?@nicelady No idea if they still make them but before the smartphone era I used Sansa Clip+ with aftermarket firmware called Rockbox. That was my primary podcast listening tool for years.
