On International Mother Language Day, we celebrate the rich linguistic and cultural diversity that defines our Union, as well as the importance of protecting and promoting mother tongues across Europe.@EUCommission less than in Ghana, for example. The nostalgic clinging to different languages is laughable - downtown a certain degree it hinders free information flow and free trade, which are some of the more important central things of the EU. I like diversity as in different views on the same subject, and all languages in the EU are easily translated, so that's fine, but once you have to get a translator for the translator, to show people your product, you're basically f***ed.
