😵 🤯 Last year a #Meta Lobbyist became a new head of the #Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC).@traecer @maxschrems Too late for the UK, where lobbyists are hired to write gov policy on AI and defence, etc., regulators don't regulate, and non-corporate interests are excluded from discussions on public safety. Private Eye has had regular items on revolving doors, regulatory capture, and conflict of interest, for decades.
