  • I ran out of cheese, so I sliced off some butter and put that in my sandwich with a tablespoon of Branston and a hefty dollop of English mustard.

@fesshole for those wondering, Branston is "a condiment consisting of diced vegetables pickled in a sauce made from vinegar, tomato, apple, and spices. It has a sweet, spicy consistency like a chutney".

  • My boyfriend fishes out teabags from the pot after brewing, and squeezes them dry with his fist, letting it drip back in the pot.

@fesshole tell him he can have all the "good stuff" to himself, by letting him squeeze it out into his own cup.
Personally I'd rather not have the extra tannins in my cuppa, as it likely makes it too bitter.
Also, teach him the better way of squeezing a tea bag: put it on your spoon, roll the string around the spoon and bag, and squeeze it that way.
Or, if you desperately want everything out, get a second spoon and press down on the bag resting on the first spoon.

Alternatively, stop using teabags, and just go for the (imho better) loose leaf tea.

Finally, bag squeezing may be considered bad manners in some cultures.
