PeerTube is a video platform on the Fediverse, sort of like a free open source alternative to YouTube. This guide goes through all the most common questions about PeerTube, including how to discover videos and how to use it with your Mastodon account:

Be really careful when blocking servers (aka "domains") on Mastodon. If you block an entire server, this will also remove all your follows and followers on that server.

Obviously this isn't ideal, and it's better not to accidentally block a server, but hopefully this provides some kind of way back if the worst happens.
I don't know what their exact criteria are but I think they base it on who people nominate? You can use Mastodon's "Filters" feature to automatically hide posts containing certain words, phrases, hashtags, links or emoji. More info about how to do this in this guide:

When it's activated, you will be able to follow and interact with people on Mastodon etc in both directions.
p.s. Just to clarify, the method above only works with posts that can be quoted. The person writing the post decides whether they want to allow quoting, so if they forbid quoting then you can't use the method in the post above.

Quoting should be available on any server running Mastodon v4.5.0 or newer. Archaeo.social is running software newer than that version but toot.lgbt is still on older software.
However, not every post can be quoted as each person posting decides on whether they give permission to be quoted when they publish the post.
You should be able to quote this reply on archaeo.social. If you can't see this option in your app, try it on the website or through a different app.
If you want to share someone else's post in Mastodon but add a content warning (CW) to it, here's how:
1. Click boost 
on the post but select the option to quote it instead of boosting
2. Click the 
content warning option and write a reason for the CW
The content warning will cover both your own post and the quoted post.

There are two main ways to invite someone to join Mastodon:
- Send them a link to a human-curated server list, then exchange account addresses so you can follow each other
- Use Mastodon's built-in invitation system to invite them to join your server and follow you automatically

OwnCast is a Twitch-style livestreaming and chat platform on the Fediverse. You can follow OwnCast accounts from Mastodon etc to see when their streams go live. Lots more info and questions answered at:

The way hashtags work on here is they filter whatever accounts/posts are visible to your server anyway. So, you only see tagged posts from accounts that your server has noticed.
Users can avoid this problem by using "groups", where every post is sent to everyone in the group no matter which server they are on. More info at https://fedi.tips/how-to-use-groups-on-the-fediverse
Admins can subscribe to hashtag relays to increase posts for tags visible on their server, more info at https://fedi.tips/using-relays-to-quickly-expand-a-servers-view-of-the-fediverse/
Relays are perhaps quite a blunt instrument to deal with a particular account looking blank as they take up so many resources? Following the account is the most efficient way of getting it to show posts on your server.
By the way, there's a fix on the way which would also show an account's previous posts as soon as the follow happens (aka "backfilling"), it's already written but waiting for review: http://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/34597
