@COMPU73E you need to hire some middle-management types to do the checking up, then you need to hire some directors to check on the middle managers, then you need to hire some VPs to check on the directors, then c-suite, then a board of directors, and so on. only then will you be satisfied knowing that actual work is getting done.

@COMPU73E i like how they're actually building it. when you first started posting about "sending guys to build a bridge," i figured it was like those mobile games or whatever, where it's all just menu-based stuff and, after a certain amount of time, the bridge just shows up or something.

@rootcompute i dub this an honorary ON COMPUTER GAMES essay. great work weaving the game stuff w/ the real stuff. fun reading about Gamergate again; i was very online during that period & also the period shortly afterward, i.e. The Election From Hell. i've always been of the opinion that Very Online Gamer Bros Who Knew Nothing of Politics Let Alone Anything Outside Their Mother's Basements pretty much got Trump elected, spurred by contrarianism & memes, & the admin seems to realize this now.
