This has got to be one of the most bonkers stories about an Edmonton community league since, well, maybe ever.@jeffsamsonow
At a time when community leagues everywhere are under a great deal of pressure, this scenario is a huge nightmare. Volunteers who run the league will have to spend an enormous number of hours and a lot of the league's money to mount this lawsuit. It's a reminder that any small non-profit group can easily be exploited by those with malicious intent. I'm sorry to leave an online community that I've greatly appreciated, but the Fediverse makes it relatively easy to migrate. -

It will always be funny to me that an Edmonton restaurant serving pizza named itself after a city in the eastern US. Of course, they generally just use their initials now, like KFC and all Canadian banks.
