This has been a consistent pattern with where federal contracts are cut, infrastructure cuts during the shutdown, cuts to blue states accused of fraud: Trump systematically discriminates against populations that do not support him.

MN had problems with fraud, much of it related to pandemic relief. But it took it seriously - the Governor chose not to run for re-election, they hired an inspector general, and had followed federal demands. Step back, they have one of the *lowest* Medicaid error rates in the country at 2%.

An effective long term strategy for those who care about independent and credible news would be to fund nonprofits to enable nonpartisan journalism. We can see where CNN is going, we need more ProPublicias.

Just a couple of years ago, the Wisconsin Supreme Court was a rubberstamp for GOP policies. Liberals could easily get to 5-2 with an election this year to replace Rebecca Bradley. An off-year election in 2027 is harder, but Ziegler retiring makes a previously unthinkable 6-1 split look possible.
