Bolivia is literally in the midst of a nascent revolution right now.
General strike since Monday, massively supported across the poorest, working and middle classes. Public highways blocked. Police evicted from stations across the country (almost always peaceably). 100s of thousands of people marching on the capital. Increasingly unhinged pronouncements from the Paz administration and the Uber wealthy in Santa Cruz.
Coverage of this in western media? Practically nothing.

@futurebird quite honestly, if you're coming in that cold, Ken Burns' documentary is a decent jumping off point.
