I've finally bought a couple of basic workbenches for setting up my battery project. Need to get a couple of prototypes built as soon as the kit is ready. I should be getting the last bits for my 2000A spot welder tomorrow... But given these 21700 cells can kick out 175A (125A continuous) I've also got some braided copper I'll be trying with normal soldering. I'll be testing soldering directly to the cells and onto the spot welded nickel strips prior to spot welding - the former risks damaging the cells but the latter risks increasing resistance.
