Re the voter-suppressing "Save America Act":A "Real ID" compliant state ID is the first thing on the list in both the house and senate versions. This is as much trying to break the states that are still resisting Real ID as it is voter suppression.In Real ID states, everyone already has been through the BS of proving their existence with a birth cert and marriage cert just to keep their state ID. Yes, it did suck. Yes, if a state tries to reregister all voters all at once under these criteria, there will be a train wreck. Real ID was phased in over years.If Save Act passes the senate and becomes law, it will immediately be challenged on constitutional grounds by multiple states and on "this isn't doable" grounds by others.
