Just learned that Sam Keith died. The Maxx was such a weird yet cool thing, really a secret Gen X thing that no one else knows about. I remember reading those comics and it really opened me up to things outside the mainstream. RIP

@heidilifeldman What most people don’t understand is what steak & lobster is for. It’s not something you feed the troops every day, it’s what you do right before bad news when you are trying to increase morale.

When you are out for a 6 month deployment and suddenly get steak & lobster for dinner it’s because you are now on a 9 month deployment. It’s the equivalent of a tech company installing a ping pong table then telling staff they need to work 9-9-6
