    Men from Yorkshire who served in Passchendaele WW1:
    Harry White was born in 1895, Barnsley, Yorkshire. He was the son of George White and Clara Hodgson. In 1911 Harry’s occupation was a Glass Worker at the Glass Works aged 16. He lived with his family at 9 Meadow Street, Barnsley, Yorkshire.
    Harry enlisted in 1914 aged 19 and Joined the 1/5th York and Lancaster Regiment (Territorial Force). Rank Corporal. Service No. 250250.
    On 23rd September 1917 he married Clarice Mary Newbold in Barnsley, Yorkshire.
    On 9th October 1917 Harry White was missing/killed in action aged 22, Passchendaele. He is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Also remembered on the Barnsley Cenotaph. #WW1 #yorkshire

    Continuing the series of women who served in the WAAF WW2:
    Marjorie Sylvia Titley daughter of John Titly and Annie Vallance, she was born in 1925, Rotherham, Yorkshire.
    She joined the WAAF, Rank: Leading Aircraftwoman, Service No. 2136002, Unit: 958 Balloon Squadron, Military Base Swansea, Glamorganshire. She died on 12th December 1943 aged 18 while on active service. She was buried at Bramley Burial Ground. #WW2 #yorkshire #WAAF
