Tell me how you are doing today and what you have planned for the day ahead.
For me, it's just another day of work, except I'm working the early shift instead of the late shift. Covering for an employee that is moving today since they bought their first ever house.
Only one meeting, or rather helping in chat during a class today, so other than that just focusing on day to day stuff.
@dhry I'm going to see if we can trade it in and upgrade. I'd be willing to bet they would let us.
@xabean Yes, three external monitors. I don't want to use the built-in monitor of the laptop itself as I hate tiny screens.
@dhry That doesn't sound good and not an option I want to deal with. I want it or need it to be fully supported.
@dhry I currently have a dock to hook up the monitors with already, so I don't really mind having extra hardware.
Just curious exactly what I would need and if it's something that would actually work.
@xabean I'm being told that Air's only support 2 external monitors, so would this actually work?
@dhry Whatever the link says the chip is. M4 I believe.
@cyberseckyle That's what I was lead to believe and hate that it's true.
Does anyone know if it's possible in any way to get this Macbook Air to be able to use 3 monitors instead of only 2 monitors? This is the work laptop that I have currently.
Currently, I have two external monitors and I know I can use the laptop itself as a third, but I absolutely can't stand the small screen and want 3 external monitors.
From what I'm seeing, it simply doesn't support 3 external monitors.
@cyberseckyle Maybe the real issue here is relying all one service like Apple Home to run things like this.
While I understand the convenience, it's not always good to have all your eggs in one basket.
Tapo has an amazing ecosystem that just works and works well. I would seriously consider looking into it and not just relying on Apple Home for everything.
@countablenewt The swiping is nice, just not my preferred. I'd rather just have it on the bottom bar and click it when I want to see that feed. Maybe an option to have it either way would be good.
@countablenewt Ah, that makes even more sense.
And if that's the case, I'd like to be able to edit the bottom bar so I don't even see Mentions/Messages.
I'd like to have Home, Explore, Lists, Profile and maybe Bookmarks at the very most.

With regards to the notifications, I've deleted all but one thread of messages, and the notification number actually increased instead of decreased.
The app only shows that I have private messages from Alt-Bot, but on the web client and other apps I have messages from tons of other people.
@countablenewt Gotcha. The next thing I noticed is, when I click on Mentions in the bottom bar, it actually takes me to Messages and while I've gone through everything there, I can't get rid of the notification number either.
Should that take me to messages? I thought Mentions would be mentions in general.
@countablenewt When you click About Fedi Reader, it goes to open in a browser window and then gives a 404 error.

For me, it's back to work after my two days off, but first, it's a dental appointment here in about an hour. Just a regular cleaning, so nothing major or anything like that. But I'll still be glad when it's done and over.
