But then I knew he was a [progressive conservative when I voted for him. The fact that I miss Mulroney does my head in.

"In a world where unpredictability and unreliability have become defining features of U.S. trade policy, Canada has an opportunity to distinguish itself as a country that means what it says and honours its commitments.@dyckron It is so obvious. But that doesn't seem to mater to folks who see this trojan horse issue giving legs to their grievances. It's nice to feel like you finally have the power to shake things up, until you turn around and see a pair of hands about to push you under the bus.
Manley himself participated in a government that accelerated inequality and disenfranchisement. While I feel that the separatist cause is shallow on - well, everything but rage - it is rooted in a deep seated and very real alienation. Dismissing this at simple grievance politics and naivete is what is about to get Reform elected in the UK.
We need to do a better job at being a proper democracy.

Worked for Brexit.

I’m sceptical about any politician that says they will lower grocery prices by instituting tax cuts or providing rebates to consumers who will just spend that money on inflated grocery prices. Solutions need to be structural. Public grocery stores might be part of that solution, however. I had no idea about US energy markets and the role that meteorology plays in them.

@wdlindsy This is a great question.@wdlindsy @meltedcheese these are evil men. But I don’t think that gives an excuse to let “prison justice” run its course. Letting people be murdered in prison is not the justice system flex folks think it is.
We have so normalized rationalizing extra judicial murder that it is now seen as a feature of a system of deterrence. And that sucks as a moral ground to repair a society that dehumanizes everyone including and especially the children who are the victims of sexual violence and murder.

Should I express more of my baffling opinions?@sillygwailo I think you should express 13 percent less bafflement. As if strong arming the option is a thing.
