it's a bit naive to think they're saying "made in europe" for geographical reasons, because it's the internet and nobody cares about that.

they are saying "made in europe" as a marketing slogan to boast about how securely and privately your data will be handled: they're telling you "we are not in sillicon valley, this is Europe, do not worry, your data is in good hands"

their intent is further reinfored by them using "Made in Europe, motherland of GDPR." on their landing page, it's clear that they want you to think of the EU when they say europe, they're just not addressing the elephant in the room that they are, in fact, not bound by the GDPR or any other EU laws... I mean, not any more bound to it than a random country outside the EU would be

do not fucking use "made in europe" as your slogan

do not fucking use "Made in Europe, motherland of GDPR." on your landing page

but especially do not fucking do all that when you're from motherfucking terf island
