  • If you're tracking #Artemis II, here are a couple of helpful resources:

    We've updated the tracker with a lot of features, including real-time telemetry from #Artemis II.

    This is now the most robust Orion tracker available.

    If you have a SeeStar/Vaonis/DWARFLABS telecope, you can connect it directly to track Orion. If not, https://artemis.cdnspace.ca/track will help you out otherwise.

    There is a public API if you are working on something cool and want data: https://artemis.cdnspace.ca/api-docs

    If you have feedback, please let us know.

    @fauntleroy we're pulling data directly from an unpublished data source thanks to friends down at NASA JSC.

    We are exposing an API for folks that want to us it, but we ask that anyone interested in this API to DM us before we give them the link. We're being careful as we only have so many server resources for this aggregated telemetry.

    @fauntleroy
    Altitude = distance from Earth's surface (subtracts Earth's radius of 6,371 km)

    Earth Distance = distance from Earth's center

    We're pulling data directly from NASA through an API that isn't publicly documented, so the reference is likely of the orbital body they're currently subject to, which is and will always be Earth as Artemis II is on a free return.

    If they were to capture around the Moon, this might be more complicated.

    We're interpreting this data the best we can and we feel we've been doing a pretty damn good job.

  • We've found the source of AROW's data, so we have a ton more data, including real attitude data, solar array angles, and we've discovered that the ICPS is still in orbit, and I'm capturing its attitude data.

    We've found the source of AROW's data, so we have a ton more data, including real attitude data, solar array angles, and we've discovered that the ICPS is still in orbit, and I'm capturing its attitude data. As a result, we're now refreshing data in real-time from JPL, but everyone will need to do a refresh of their browsers to get these new features.

    We have also published an API for simplicity's sake, so folks don't need to track down all of the various sources. If you want access to the API, please DM.
