@simon_brooke @blog I have been watching this conversation over the last few days.Regarding, Cory use of a strawman fallacy by criticising one argument against the use of LLMs. We could argue that using an LLM to spell and grammar check writing itself fall for the 'appeal to populum' fallacy (The training data is just current writing).I doesn't seem Cory uses it this way, judging by his description of his usage, however depending on this editorial technique would also be fragile.
