Although I chose correctly, I can only claim to have been confident about the lowest quality; even then, I'm not convinced I would have been successful had the test not been a comparison. Taken in isolation these things can be extremely hard to identify.

Sure enough, the friend complained about how unrealistic the violin sounded.
I'm not convinced it happened, but I've met people like that.
