I feel that Robert Reich has a way of delivering information that allows for easy digestion. I know that many feel that billionaires should be taxed, but I don't know that many realize an income tax is not the method in which to do so.

I was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona. My family is still in that valley, and has been for four generations. Though some of us have escaped, they seem trapped. Towns on the Mogollon Rim are deserted due to a lack of well water, Summers are starting earlier, lasting later, and experiencing higher temperatures than ever. Each year gets worse, and people are still moving in!

I'm grateful that I escaped to the Pacific Northwest in 2009, and only hope that more family does the same.

All due respect, I doubt that what this country needs is another billionaire in the presidential office. I can't trust these people, as they have let us down repeatedly. I don't think there is such a thing as an ethical billionaire, and I don't want this person as a replacement for Trump. Politicians are known for sweet talking their supportive base, and I dare not put stock in what this person says.

I've ridden the subway! I was 12 years old, and in New York City for a family vacation. This fool doesn't know what he's talking about!

This is not to discount the horror of people listening to their phones without headphones, however.

@joost Congratulations! Normally, my hope would be that this type of legislature would spread to the United States. With our current administration, I have no hope of that. That doesn't mean I'm bitter against anybody who is able to make use of this landmark decision! I wish you the best!

Disappointed but not surprised to see Colbert treat Brett McGurk—a Kissinger-quoting war architect—with deference. Same old narratives: we MUST care about the Middle East. For whom? Fossil fuel access? An Israeli state that never should've existed? Meanwhile: homeless vets, record wealth disparity, military budget >50 countries combined. I want a fucking start. AOC showed us what disruption looks like—refusing assimilation, naming power, shifting what's possible. We need that in foreign policy too.

@tusk81 It's so much easier to demonize us than the owners of the boots they're so accustomed to tongue-shining. Any and every problem in their lives are a product of their undying devotion to billionaires and the Cheato.
