Adopting out this semi-feral cat, and I'm nervous. You just never know if the other person will be kind to their pets.

@gotrans I'll figure something out sooner or later. There are some social events I might be able to get involved in now that I know the job didn't work out. And if I work towards a diagnosis, maybe I'll be able to get treatment that makes job hunting or self-employment easier.

I really wanted that job too. It was fully remote, so after saving up for a bit, I might have been able to move to a country with a little more stability.

I fucking hate life. The fucking billionaires get to do whatever they fucking want, up to and including literally destroying the fucking planet itself, but even if I'm a top 1% talent with fucking proof and will to accept median pay, I am still not fucking good enough!?

I wonder if I can get disability... I'm so fucking tired of trying in this broken system. And clearly something about me doesn't function the same way as everyone else. I don't have it in me to fill out 100 applications to get one interview and still get turned down after four months of trying with them. And I don't get why no one wants to hire me... ever. I've been putting out applications at a rate I can manage for years now and I'm still unemployed. I am smart enough to do whatever bullshit coding role you want. I'm even desperate enough to take a pay rate that is disappointing. But that still isn't good enough!? What the actual fuck!? Like what, was my small talk with the interviewer a little too stilted because I'm probably fucking autistic!? There were multiple things about my history and skill set that impressed him, so I doubt it was my qualification that were the problem... Why do I fucking bother?

After four months of interviewing with a company, if they don't hire you, they should still compensate you for all the fucking time it took.

@shio I'm seriously debating what I'll do for the next presidential. Unless the democrats can nominate someone worthwhile, it might be better to vote for a divided government than a weak democrat. In hindsight, winning in 2020 only succeeded in giving Trump time to regroup and I worry that winning in 2028 would do the same thing for the republicans. Idk. I'm not decided yet.
