I could get a good offer on .eu for 10yrs quite some time ago with one provider. However most providers, if not all I encountered so far, will give you a discount only on the first year and then charge the normal price for the remainder of the ordered(/prebilled) duration. So was registering for a decade a bet against rising yearly cost? Or is there some recommendable provider I don't know yet
