@praetor @mattsheffield They need the hatred. They need to focus hatred to "the other". It is not trans people per se, not jewish people per se, not palestinians, or whatever. It's "the other" that scares them. If you can get a group of people to hate a certain group you get a powerful movement that ignores what really is going on.
Trans and queer folks are unfortunately the perfect target for their pretty little trad-world.

BOOST OR QUOTE THIS!@meganmariehart I indeed think that the fediverse is not as attractive for people rely on social marketing. No metrics, no algo. You have to built up your presence by hard work, there are no "brand opportunities". For a lot of people this would break their business, for others this would break their ego.
