Love between family members (whether by birth or by choice), friends, or even people and their pets always plays a role in my stories. Oh, and a great love for tea (which may be everyone's true love, all things considered).

Apart from - as others have already pointed out - avoiding LLMs (and calling out their use), and reading and promoting the work of other writers, I think it is also important to value individual writing styles and quirks, and to remind people regularly that a good story is so much more than a collection of easily marketable tropes.

@juergen_hubert I'd be interested in learning if you think there are any noteworthy regional trends in folktales (such as particular plot points, creatures, or characters that appear predominantly in the folktales of a certain corner of the German-speaking world).
