My technique for not bringing home pocketfuls of beach rocks is portrait photography. -
This is what Mount Saint Helens looked like before and after its 1980 eruption...My folks had a "before" photo of Mt. St. Helens hung over their bed. They'd never seen it personally, but my dad loved the blue of the sky and the perfect peak. After it blew, I had the chance to travel to Seattle and picked up a vase made of Mt. St. Helen ash for them.
