@mxhdroom Yes, clearly an independent state would not be viable. But proposing to become the 51st state would be a very hard sell, so they propose the fiction of independence instead. What makes me think this is serious is Bessent's statement. Then everything else, the skulduggery, and yes, Smith's trips to Mar-A-Lago, take on a much more sinister aspect.

Thinking about the Alberta separatists, I have come to realize something surprising. It makes me laugh too, which leads me to ask who the US officials could have been talking with, and I have to conclude it was the UCP.
I think BC premier David Eby must have drawn the same conclusion, which is why he calls it treason. (6/6)

Thinking about the Alberta separatists, I have come to realize something surprising.Sylvestre himself dismisses the notion that the APP could have negotiated anything with US officials: "Pick three random people from your hometown. And imagine them—like the Beverly Hillbillies going to the US, and talking to these guys, as if there could be any consequence come out of that. It makes me laugh.". Thinking about the Alberta separatists, I have come to realize something surprising. It is simply not credible that high-ranking US officials would have discussed such matters with, and much less offered an astronomical sum of money to this merry gang.
Assuming such talks have taken place--and I think we must--they cannot have been with anyone else but Alberta's governing United Cconservative Party. (4/6)

Thinking about the Alberta separatists, I have come to realize something surprising. This unlikely gang claims to have conferred in a top secret facility in Washington with high-ranking US officials. Three times. During these conversation said officials are alleged to have offered 500 billion USD in case Alberta became independent. (2/6)

Thinking about the Alberta separatists, I have come to realize something surprising.Thinking about the Alberta separatists, I have come to realize something surprising. Here's what we know:
1. A group of separatists led by one Mitch Sylvestre has applied to hold a referendum on Alberta separation from Canada. Sylvestre along with dodgy lawyer Jeffrey Rath and antivax doctor Dennis Modry and others comprise an outfit called the Alberta Prosperity Project, which defines itself as a "non-profit educational project".
