@rommix0 I don't blame ya. -
That sinking feeling when an estranged mom doesn't apologize to his own son for her actions, and then for me as that son to realize she used to defend an ex step-dad who ended up being a meth head.@rommix0 Yeah, and a surprising number of people also enjoy it.

I made a keyboard because I needed one and nothing on Android was built for blind users.@Tamasg @fireborn Oh yeah I was able to do custom actions, if you wanna take a look at what I've done so far here's the repo: https://github.com/g4p-studios/thrive-expo

OK. I have an even better idea.@Tamasg Hahaha yeah that'd be fun lol.

OK. I have an even better idea.@Tamasg I could imagine myself having fun with that if it was in NVDA or the SAPI version lmfao

I made a keyboard because I needed one and nothing on Android was built for blind users.@fireborn Oh right, well yeah for this you could plop the source in and just turn PRs off on the repo.
-
I made a keyboard because I needed one and nothing on Android was built for blind users.@fireborn Ye and that's understandable, when you've got a shitload of other stuff you don't wanna be reviewing pull requests every hour lol. Oh and I just looked it up, there's a page on the GitHub docs about disabling PRs: https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/managing-your-repositorys-settings-and-features/enabling-features-for-your-repository/disabling-pull-requests

I made a keyboard because I needed one and nothing on Android was built for blind users.@fireborn About the thing about not putting the source out there because of merge requests, I think Github lets you turn off pull requests, or you can just say pull requests will be ignored, I've seen other projects do that and its perfectly OK to do that.

So we're going to use Thrive Messenger even in its unencrypted state and originally visible database to all users, but start complaining about Escargo Chat which was not coded at 2AM with a bunch of AI prompts.@destranis @tunmi13 It definitely exists, just Google the word and you'll find info about it.

So we're going to use Thrive Messenger even in its unencrypted state and originally visible database to all users, but start complaining about Escargo Chat which was not coded at 2AM with a bunch of AI prompts.@destranis @tunmi13 I looked enshittification up and it is a word. And its not just that, people don't wanna have to mess around like a website just to message people. But that's beside the point, people like the alternatives, there's nothing wrong with that.
-
So we're going to use Thrive Messenger even in its unencrypted state and originally visible database to all users, but start complaining about Escargo Chat which was not coded at 2AM with a bunch of AI prompts.@destranis @tunmi13 1. The security issues got fixed, and encryption is in progress.
2. This isn't just designed for blind people, but a lot of blind people are sick of bloated apps like Discord and WhatsApp which on desktop is now a web wrapper.
3. Escargot Chat is a service that lets you use the old MSN Messenger clients on modern Windows and message people.
Oh and about being isolated from the sighted world, if one was to actually do some digging you'd find out that even a lot of sighted people are sick of the enshittification of mainstream platforms. -
