After years on dialysis, her weight was low enough the hospital, doctor, and insurance approved of the procedure, but her blood pressure was too low because of the dialysis. The surgeon, fearing a risk to his record, denied the surgery.

She died later that year.
If she has been allowed surgery when she was still fat, her heart would have been strong enough to handle surgery.
