somethign that i am finding dismaying about looking for inspiration among recorded accordion rep is that there doesn't seem to be a notion of "phrasing" which is such an essential part of piano rep that it doesn't even need to be described.

@jonny that's rough. Relearning in any form will be rough too, but I wish you luck with it. I hope it brings you peace.

@jonny I don’t know if this will be useful, but just in case: during the periods when I couldn’t use my left hand, I found a surprising number of things that I could do on the piano just with my right hand. Jazz improvisation was not much different from being a guitarist or saxophonist. Also some things in the solo violin repertoire.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xrvxun10Xfs@jonny Is it a technical constraint of accordian mechanics, or a cultural issue among most accordion players (how they think it should be played)?
