#Calgary friends, any recommendations for group #volunteer activities that would be great for a large group (50-100 people), maybe corporate-friendly?

We used to do a park cleanup, but the park the previous years have been SO clean, 80% of people eventually just going for a nice walk
.I'm wondering if there's like a gardening/tree-planting volunteer opportunity somewhere?

@cobaltsoulmonk I know in Edmonton there are groups that do invasive weed eradication efforts. Maybe there's something like that? A little more dirty & sweaty than just picking up litter, though.

@AmeliasBrain Good idea! I'll add that to my searching, thank you!

Contact Roots for Trees and EALTS (Edmonton Area Land Trust). I believe that they both have corporate options for volunteering. I struggled to connect with anyone at the former, but I had some fabulous volunteer opportunities with the latter last year. It's a huge bonus that their volunteer activities are each run by a pair of biologists who cheerfully share their knowledge!

Oops, that doesn't help you for Calgary! Still, organizers for these groups can probably direct you to something similar in #yyc -
