Something’s fishy here! On one of my dives off of the sailboat, I discovered a barracuda and remora (suckerfish) lurking under the boat, each 3-4 feet (1 m) in length. They remained there in spite of my presence and occasionally cruised close to me. For a while, the remora attached itself to the keel of one of the hulls of the boat (upper right pic)! I had more fun near the surface watching these fish than being at the bottom that day! #ocean #scuba #nature

No waterfall today on WaterfallWednesday, but how about a wave crashing over a large rock formation as viewed from underwater? Saw a number of such events while snorkeling around a rocky point last week. Waves were crashing regularly over the rocks--- had to be careful and not get sucked into the swirling chaos of each crash! #ocean #snorkeling #waves

It seemed to have that color in the shallow water with lots of sunlight and reflections from the bottom, but then more blue in deeper water. Either way, a nice contrast from up here in Massachusetts where the “color”’ is just very dark! 😀 🌊

I have to admit, it's a bit spooky diving off of a boat in deep water here and going straight down into the darkness without seeing the bottom at first. A faint, eerie image of the bottom eventually emerges out of the darkness. 👻

@TimKStanton I think my version of that excited feeling in the pit of my stomach was in performance on stage and recordings. Tremendous excitement and thinking on your feet= a kind of joyful terror lol

@TimKStanton As to leaders, I believe I expect them to be quite different from me in so many aspects of their jobs but as humans it seems there are also wide gaps of shared experience. I expect an expertise in something to do with their job title, for one! SILLY ME, eh?

@TimKStanton Acting, singing, dancing, also some live music producing where you are by default part of the bodies in front of the audience...aka producer for a small venue that is very hands on so sometimes a greeting from the stage to say what's happening on any given night. No longer, though, all in the past. I'm happily retired, much as I was happily employed when I was employed. Voice acting, operatically trained, musical theatre, tap dancing (I know, it's JOYFUL!), etc.

@TimKStanton I've been in music my entire life, since 6 years old. Same with my brother and sister. All very different, all very good at what we've done. It's a happy accident that we were all born with similar gifts.

I love musical theater! How great that you could make a career out of your singing and your other talents. I know that it's a very tough world out there for musicians. So many of my very musical friends ended up making it just their hobby. I've enjoyed theater mostly from being in the audience, although I played in the pit orchestra (trombone) for a couple of productions in amateur community theater. I hope you still find ways or venues for your singing.

@TimKStanton It's been a race to the finish in some lean years, but I have other skills I've used, so always had my own business as a bookkeeper to keep the mortgage paid. I don't enjoy THAT kind of risk.
no one would know my face or name, but I've always made a decent living tripping through the various skills. Brother was and still is quite pop music famous, although I tell him he's three years OLDER than I am and always will be. heh heh We're all staring at 80 right now. Orchestras are fun!!

Sadly, most people in the performing arts seem to need to have another form of income to stabilize the lifestyle. But, you figured it out!! Yeah, "tripping through the various skills" applies to many types of work!

@TimKStanton I think scientists and doctors have a whole tool kit, and most of it becomes educated and trained over the years. Performers in Britain are given the same kind of overall education, they can do anything within the definition. Here in this merchant based country, performers can almost be a dirty word.
