I was awakened at 2:30am by the sound of intense rain, and after cross-referencing a couple websites, it seems about a quarter inch of rain fell overnight. For this to happen on the day when I normally water my garden is fantastic. I will still water a couple things because I want to train this tiny yard to root more deeply and we're about to have wacky warm temps again. Starting tomorrow.

Also, turns out it's NOT hosta in my yard. It's flowering, and I'm gonna say it's lily of the valley.

I'm looking out the window, watching a backyard bun coming to the front yard to nibble the taller grasses that have grown below where the carport drips collected water. Today I think is going to be the first lawn mowing of 2026.
