        @Strandjunker

        I've been trying to get people to understand this for two years now. Do they act as if they're worried about losing power? NO. Do they act as if their rules will be in place forever and that they needn't worry about election results or the rule of law coming back to haunt them? YES. They have *no intention* of leaving office.

          @Strandjunker To my knowledge, not a single CBP official from the first Trump term that put children in cages was ever disciplined or charged with anything, so, she has precedent on her side.

            @Strandjunker If there's any justice, she'll spent a few years as a ward of the state

              @Lightfighter Right? A D administration will just appoint another Merrick Garland and nothing will happen.

                @IAmDannyBoling @Strandjunker Power will change hands even if only through natural causes, Trump is not immortal. When that happens, European history of Kingdoms suggest a change of policy (if only cosmetic) and the previous advisers and officers are blamed for the bad advice which resulted in the previous bad policy. This usually resulted with an appointment with the headsman and Block

                  @Strandjunker All of the Tr#mpophiles are like that. It's kind of the religion of the far-Right, at least in the US.

                    @Strandjunker Even if there is power transfer, I'd be surprised if Trump wouldn't give everyone in his administration a generic pardon just before leaving. They will face no consequences whatsoever.

                      @Strandjunker I didn’t get that at all. I think she just, correctly I might add, assessed that the next dem admin will do the traditional dem thing which is to absolutely do nothing in fear of looking “political”.
