    It's short for distribution. The "variant" of linux that is used, like Arch Linux, Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora etc.

      I'm pretty close to this point as well. I haven't logged into my Windows install for over a week, and am quite happily doing everything I need in Arch linux.

      Windows is in its death throes, and not just on my computer, but in general.

        For me the last hurdle was getting World of Warcraft working in Linux. It was crashing constantly, then I worked out it was a Wayland issue. Installed XFCE using X11 and no issues whatsoever now.

        Was able to do my first clear of Mythic Manaforge Omega tonight using Linux rather than Windows, so another couple of weeks for safety, and it can likely be scrapped 😄

        Can't wait!
