https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2026/03/260306224235.htm@dmacphee "This study is probably the most depressing project I've been involved with in my entire life" – I strongly felt that. Opening Zotero only to see atleast one retracted paper has become nearly a daily occurrence for me. The erosion of trust in the system almost reached critical levels, which makes people burnout, give up and leave academia. I've seen it in my own environment and I shared the sentiment myself. Academia needs to be reorganised in order to survive.
