People are rightfully angry at age verification laws.

That doesn't justify any harassment campaigns towards *any* FOSS developers, maintainers nor contributors. Turn that anger towards something productive.
Get a grip people, holy shit.

@Foxboron Would not have thought to see a based approach to this at all today.

@Foxboron FOSS developers that have a choice and choose to side with fascists are fair game though.

What a load of nonsense. Being a FOSS developer doesn't automatically exempt one from criticism. You are advocating membership as a shield against accountability, which undermines the very principles of openness and merit that FOSS is supposed to stand for

Are you seriously diminishing people getting death threats and dossiers posted with personal details as.... "criticism"?
Seriously?

Yes Morten, you don't get to decide what anger is or isn't "productive"
I presume we are talking about this

The Engineer Who Tried to Put Age Verification Into Linux https://www.sambent.com/the-engineer-who-tried-to-put-age-verification-into-linux-5/ The lasting damage was knowing it could happen at all: that a single contributor with no stated organizational backing could submit compliance infrastructure for surveillance law directly into the software that boots your computer, get it merged by two Microsoft employees, and have the creator of systemd personally block the removal.
