AGI/Vista - "C'è un tema in più che mi preoccupa e devo dirvelo, nonostante lo dico da due anni, prendo la domanda: un attacco simile cosa farebbe in Italia? Ecco, io l’ho visto da vicino cosa ha fatto a Dubai, farebbe peggio in Italia, perché le difese da questi nuovi armi, soprattutto i droni, che sono un nuovo tipo di arma, che nasce con la guerra in Ucraina, sono molto più difficili che non rispetto alle armi tradizionali, perché mentre l’Italia ha una difesa dal punto di vista aereo verso armi più pericolose, come sono i missili, abbiamo i sistemi di difesa, dal punto di vista di quel tipo di attacchi l’Italia e i paesi europei sono indietro e si stanno avvicinando negli ultimi due anni con investimenti continui, ma la soluzione e la difesa da questo tipo di cose ci sarà nel giro di qualche mese, qualche anno, perché è partita purtroppo soltanto due anni fa”. AGI/Vista - “There’s another issue that worries me and I have to tell you, even though I’ve been saying it for two years: taking the question of a similar attack, what would it do in Italy? Well, I’ve seen firsthand what it did in Dubai, it would do worse in Italy, because the defenses against these new weapons, especially drones – which are a new type of weapon, born with the war in Ukraine – are much more difficult than traditional weapons, because while Italy has a defense from an aerial perspective towards more dangerous weapons, like missiles, we have the defense systems, from that point of view, Italy and European countries are behind and are getting closer in the last two years with continuous investments, but the solution and defense against these things will be in a few months, a few years, because it unfortunately started just two years ago.” Thus testified Defense Minister Guido Crosetto during a hearing.
