Use Tor, I2P, whatever you like - if you use a vpn use mullvad, and remember, loose lips sink ships.

You might have heard of Tor already,
yet never dared to try it yourself.

          Despite being around for decades,
Tor is still a tool too few people know about. Tor is essential to journalists, activists, whistleblowers, dissidents, and people in vulnerable situations everywhere.

Thanks to Tor, activists have a safe way to continue fighting for human rights and resist censorship from oppressive regimes.

          Here's how Tor works,
and why you should support it.

You might have heard of Tor already, yet never dared to try it yourself. Despite being around for decades, too few people know about Tor. It isn't only a tool for journalists and activists, but for anyone seeking greater privacy online. What is Tor exactly? And how can Tor help you?

Another good and easy way to support #Tor is to run #Snowflake on your devices. It helps people all over the world circumvent Tor blocks:

And the networking-magic of "hidden services" let's you easily make your services running on a PC in your homenetwork be reachable from everywhere without a static IP from your ISP.

@Em0nM4stodon I started using Tor in 2015. Without Tor, I would be unable to join Mastodon and post here, because almost everything I say and boost is outlawed in my country. The regime considers my very system of beliefs illegal and will imprison me for any public misstep no matter how small.

                Tor is freedom!

@Em0nM4stodon As a nice bonus, I just blocked a few trolls spreading long-debunked lies against Tor in the comments here.

The "never dared to try it" you noted is no accident. People are being actively misled by trollbots. Open any thread about Tor anywhere and you'll be instantly hit with a wave of FUD. Sadly, it's true even about Mastodon.
