KTLA: Warning posted about sick and disoriented squirrels at Runyon Canyon Park

(Flag: they have gotten no comments from officials on if this was official or not).

"...According to a photo of the flyer, published to WEHOOnline, there are reports of squirrels that are appearing sick, lethargic and are exhibiting erratic or disoriented behavior.

The alert warns people not to touch any squirrels that look sick or dead. It also advises people to keep their dogs on a leash and away from wildlife, not to feed squirrels and to thoroughly wash hands after visiting the park...."

@ai6yr I can't help thinking it's rat poison. It kills by suffocation; critters tend to go out in the open looking for air.

I've seen places in my area where they buy it in 5 gallon plastic buckets.
