One Win10 PC that I'm being nagged to replace with a Win11 one has a PCI-GPIB interface card, but average new PCs don't have PCI slots anymore...

One Win10 PC that I'm being nagged to replace with a Win11 one has a PCI-GPIB interface card, but average new PCs don't have PCI slots anymore... Do I try the dongle... Or just get a more modern PCIe interface card... I don't really want to get a hyper overpriced "industrial" PC just for old slots...

@StripeyYena I'm hoarding old PCs in case I ever need to talk to some device over LPT or simmilar...

@rubinjoni The device in question originally shipped with a DOS PC for control. By the time I took over, it had a Windows 98 PC, from which I transferred the PCI-GPIB card into a Win 7 machine, which I later updated to Win10, and thus we end up here... I still have the Win98 box standing in a corner, just in case...

@StripeyYena if it is a low-profile PCI card, I can recommend these PCIe-to-PCI bridge cards..
