Yikes.
In principle these are good examples of exactly what SIs are meant for: tweaks to regulatory legislation that needs to be updated regularly. The idea is that Parliament supports the regulatory regimen but doesn't necessarily need to vote on every tweak to what's covered and how.
In practice though, this one is scary. Every new AI development or political change in attitude — as with, say VPNs — potentially banned without debate.
Yikes.
