    When spokesperson was < 4 years old the 1 time NATO activated Article 5 collective defense in defense of USA, and the spokesperson is foundationally incapable of being a good spokesperson, they'll say this:

    "Pentagon Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson told the BBC that despite 'everything' the US has done for its Nato allies, 'they were not there for us'."

    Kegsbreath & Orange Failure's prints are all over it; their bad thinking gets people killed.

    Nato says 'no provision' to expel members after report US could seek to suspend Spain

    An internal Pentagon email reportedly outlines options to punish allies over a perceived lack of support for Iran war.

      @davidaugust This administration could not be doing more to dismantle the United States as a country if they were marching Russian troops through DC.

      These are people deliberately destroying the country, her norms, her relations with the world, her standing at home and abroad, her people's ability to survive...they are locusts.

      No, they are traitors. These people are cultists serving one master. And that master is not the United States of America.

          @MissConstrue @davidaugust The whole idea that other countries are implacable enemies hellbent on destroying the USA and/or West (which, despite the „free world” propaganda, largely merely adds satellite states to the mix puppeteered via Gladio-type operations and subject to affairs like the Greek Régime of the Colonels if they step too far out of line) has been a total lie. It wasn't just Tetris and Gorky Park (the band) in the West. There was a lot of interest in blue jeans and Western pop music and more on the „other side” of the Iron Curtain too. And the Iranians chanting „death to America” were disco dancing shortly before the revolution. The latest Lego video furthermore clarifies the actual Iranian stance.

          The real malefactors here are the Epstein (a.k.a. capitalist) class. There's never been danger in recent history of any other countries' armies marching down the streets of Berlin or Paris or London or New York. The real dangers are of (mostly silent) coups and tyrannical domestic régimes.

            @nyc @davidaugust

            When I was a kid, I ran away from a UK convent with a boy from Transylvania. As you do. I had an amazing time where we slipped inside the Iron Curtain and travelled around areas Americans never saw, and even now probably don’t go. We rode horses through areas that felt primeval and untouched, and would pop out into a village somewhere where we didn’t speak the language, I was clearly American, and everyone, everywhere was kind and welcoming. (Except East German police, whooboy was that a thing.)

            Point being, I have lived all over the world. I have traveled extensively, just as a curious human. I can muddle through a few languages, but it’s obvious I’m an American, albeit an incredibly polite one. We’re a special breed, Americans. And by special, I mean loud and space taking. We have so much territory we don’t know how to behave in tight quarters.

            But never have I heard it expressed that anyone wants to “conquer” the US. They’d like us to not be bullies.

              @MissConstrue @nyc the US not being bullies is a deeply sound goal.

              Also, "never been danger in recent history of any other countries' armies marching down the streets of Berlin or Paris or London or New York" is in no small part because of the existence of NATO.
