    “‘I was struck by how insular Mr. Poilievre and the Conservative Party was,’ former U.S. Ambassador to Canada David Cohen, who served under former President Joe Biden and had advised Poilievre to engage with Trump…’”

    That might explain why Poilievre is traveling to the US after visiting the UK, Germany recently,

    “Now, some officials argue the time has passed.

    ‘This is a guy who does not know how to win a race,’ the GOP operative said. ‘There’s no one here that believes he will ever be prime minister.’”

    Oops! Too late…

      @Sanderde "…over here he’s viewed more like someone who’s going to lose, and lose politely" That's so racist!

        @GrumpusNation

        He did once already, in his concession speech the night of last year’s election:

        “I would like to congratulate Prime Minister Carney on leading this minority government. We will have plenty of opportunity to debate and disagree, but tonight we come together as Canadians.”

        A bit more polite than Trump’s concession speech two months after the 2020 election where he didn’t mention Biden’s name.
