The #BattleOfĐiệnBiênPhủ began #ThisDayInHistory in 1954. The #FrenchUnion dug into a fortified position to break #ViệtMinh supply lines but the #Vietnamese surrounded them with artillery concealed in tunnels. After a two-month siege, the French empire was broken in Indochina.
