It gets weirder. Once you enter you are not allowed to leave the campus. So they have a bunch of “entertainment”- a whole amusement park - to keep people happy during their imprisonment. Lots of Christian youth camps go there and the stories of what they experience are actually pretty horrifying. Beyond fire and brimstone, they are psychologically tortured and threatened.

It’s in Florida (of course) Pensacola, I think? Huge part of the Christian nationalist indoctrination machine, and not really spoken about outside of those circles. Very very creepy dystopian place.

The goal of these churches is to frighten children so much they become good little soldiers, bloodthirsty for Christ.

It’s a water park, not an amusement park, which is somehow even creepier, given their extreme views on “modesty” and gender.
