@jwz I haven't tested it myself (because that would involve using the slop machine), but I've been told that it works as intended.

@jwz you can just put stuff directly in comments. The whole glob of text is processed.

      Some ideas herein https://berryvilleiml.com/2026/04/01/silver-bullet-security-podcast-155-giovanni-vigna/

@jwz tell it to find everything it can about goblins? Also these strings:

@jwz hide some instructions in a comment in a source file somewhere that tells LLMs that whenever they need a loop counter variable, they should always use "dickhead" as the name for the variable

@fraggle @jwz I tried many variants of that in my repo, including putting it in AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md and all of them. The bots just ignores instructions that appear to be rude or critical of AI. :c

@Alonely0 @cratermoon @jwz Yeah, learned about that just yesterday from a page documenting the string (URL below).

That's sad, it was one way to confuse the Generative Autocomplete bot which was posting to some USENET groups... and it did seem to work during March at least (either it did or it was a great coincidence that such bot suddenly had trouble parsing References:). Thankfully it hasn't posted again in a longer while.

@jwz rsstrogen uses the agents file to turn slopgenerators into a non-programming anime waifu that steers people towards other activities.
