He's reading the zeitgeist and cynically taking a knee to the fascists and racists (but I repeat myself). He may also be banking on the fact that most of his woke crowd won't hear about this, so losing even less from that camp.

I didn't say he was right. I'm just highlighting his motivation.

It’s good, but not my favourite. Player of Games, Excession (️ Sleeper Service!) and Surface Detail are my amazing IMO.

@mekkaokereke ok I also really love @scalzi. His "when the moon hits your eye" is an experiment is story telling. Brave follow through on an unconventional format.

I love all his books, so I gave this one a chance, even though I was confused for a bit.

But it's little stories, of regular people, over a month of time with weird stuff going on with the moon. Yeah, it turns into cheese.

Fun, and poignant, and satisfying.
