    🔥🚒🇬🇧 Collection of vintage fire trucks, left abandoned in old farm buildings

    These types of vehicles are more typically called “airport crash tenders” rather than “fire trucks/engines”. An airport crash tender is a specialised fire engine designed for airfield use.

    These are 1970s/1980s Denis-Thorneycroft Nubian Major trucks. They were retired in the 1990s, replaced by the next generation of firefighting trucks.

      @ObsidianUrbex beautiful. But these belong into a museum where they get the attention they deserve!
      20-25 years would still be a typical age for fire engines, until they are retired (and often repurposed for training or as spares). I know the Mercedes Atego fire engine that I drive is 20 years but still going strong ☺️
