The #BCNDP added a 0.54% flat tax increase in BC, with graduated rebates for people under $45k.

    A flat tax.

That means people making way over $45k pay a smaller % of their income in this weak, sad, pathetic tax increase.

8 years of "NOT" the BC Liberals, and we still haven't restored tax levels to 2002, which would give us over $18b each year for free transit, tuition and #k12 seismic upgrading. Each year.

    But no.

@Maxfieldripken They also logged more cutblocks than BC Liberals did in their terms, in shorter time span. BC NDP are conservatives, at the core.

@Maxfieldripken There's lots of reasons to prefer progressive taxes, but "people making way over $45k pay a smaller % of their income [in a flat tax]" isn't one of them.

That's true of a poll tax. A flat tax would mean everyone over the $45k cutoff would pay exactly the same %.
